This book tells the stories of the women who were married to the men who founded the United States of America. That in itself is a major reason why I was not particularly enthralled with this book. History has seen many great and remarkable women. These were not necessarily remarkable women. They were women who were married to remarkable men. Many of these women were tough and some of them were exceptionally so, but who wasn’t tough in the US back then?
