Nothing to Envy by Barbara Demick

For a non-fiction book written by a journalist it is a remarkably easy read, especially given the subject matter. It is the stories of six ordinary people from Communist state North Korea.  Demick lived in Seoul in South Korea for several years interviewing defectors from North Korea.  I feel that I got a good understanding of how things were in country since it’s inception up to present day.
